This is a general price list. Some animals on the ranch may be priced less than stated. Animals deemed exceptional may be priced higher.
If you haven't secured the required hunting license and/or education you won't be allowed to hunt. We can generally find someplace nearby where you can get a new or replacement license but don't leave that to chance.
Our guides work for tips so please show them your appreciation. They work hard to assist you before, during and after the hunt and tipping is the best way to encourage and show your appreciation for great service. It is the way to say "Thank You" for the service you received during your hunt and an incentive for the guides to offer the best service possible. The standard tip rate is 15% of the hunt price but if a guide gives you exceptional service, please feel free to tip them more. And if their service is poor, tip accordingly and PLEASE let Acadian management know. Our guides are the face of our ranch and we trust that they are working hard to make your trip the best that it can be. But this is just a guideline and the decision is ultimately up to you based on the quality of the service you receive.
A 50% deposit is required to reserve your hunt date. We will accept checks for deposits but final payments must be cash or cashier's check or credit card. There is a 3% convenience charge for credit card and any other form of electronic payment. If payment is not received within ten days of booking request, booking will automatically be canceled. In the event of an emergency that prevents you from making your hunt, contact us ASAP. If we can re-book your hunt date with another client we will refund your deposit or re-book your hunt for a future date within one year if available. We will do our best to accommodate our hunters in the event of poor weather conditions but we do not offer refunds due to acts of God or inclement weather. If you have special requests feel free to contact us and we will do our best to work with you. Special arrangements can be made for large or corporate groups.
Hunts are booked on a first come first served basis. Our standard hunts are 2-1/2 days / 2 nights and are guided one on one. But feel free to contact us and we can work to custom-tailor a hunt just for you. Arrival time is noon on the first day and departure is noon the last day. Our hunts are typically in the early morning and late afternoon and we can accommodate both gun and bow hunters. We don't guarantee a harvest, only availability of game. Our guide must approve each animal to be harvested. If an animal is wounded (blood drawn) but not recovered, that is considered a kill and full hunt price is required based on your guide's estimated score. We will do everything within our power to help you find any animal you wound but we make no guarantees.
Field dressing is included and we can help arrange for local meat processing and taxidermy per client request.
We offer the utmost care and concern for our clients' safety and well being but we assume no responsibility for any accident, injury or loss caused by anything other than gross negligence on the part of Acadian Whitetails & Exotics management or staff. Also, if you have serious medical issues please let us know in advance so we can be prepared to take appropriate action in the event of an emergency.
For anyone travelling from other areas, our Southeast Texas weather can be hard to figure out. Don't forget to pack your standard items like Hunting License (for anyone out of state we will be glad to assist you in getting a Texas license), Firearm & Ammunition or Bow & Arrows, Rubber Boots, Binoculars, Camera, Flashlight, Knife, No Scent Body Products & Spray and Ice Chest. Also pack your Heavy Coat, Head & Face Mask and Warm Gloves because it could be cold. But also pack a Light Jacket because even during the winter months it might feel like springtime. And sometimes you may not need a jacket at all because let's face it, this is Southeast Texas, and winter and fall are notorious for giving you all four seasons in one day.
Spring and summer weather here in Southeast Texas are a little easier to figure than fall or winter. Except for the occasional cool snap, springtime will be moderate to warm. So bring along that Light Jacket just in case. Summer, well, it's just going to be plain old HOT and the humidity will most likely be about 900% LOL. So you just have to look forward to that cold drink and some A/C when you're done. And don't forget your Hunting License (for anyone out of state we will be glad to assist you in getting a Texas license), Firearm & Ammunition or Bow & Arrows, Mosquito Net for your Face, Light Gloves to Protect your hands from Mosquitoes, Rubber Boots, Camera, Flashlight, Knife, No Scent Body Products & Spray and Ice Chest.
A website can't always answer all of your questions so feel free to call us.
